From Our Heraldic Archive

We hold an archive of coat of arms and clan crest artwork, prepared and refined for engraving in glass.

Each design is selected by surname and adapted to suit the proportions, line quality, and clarity required for engraving.

Across each piece, the same studio approach is applied, with designs adjusted for balance and legibility, resulting in a clean, satin-etched engraving in glass.

  • Crest Types

We prepare both family coat of arms and Scottish clan crests from established reference sources. Each design is reviewed and adjusted where needed so that symbols, line work and inscriptions remain clear and legible when engraved.Where multiple interpretations exist, we select the most appropriate version for the piece and confirm details before engraving begins.

  • Availability

Our archive covers a wide range of surnames and heraldic references. If your name is less common, we will confirm availability and prepare the artwork before engraving.

  • Craft & Finish

Each crest is redrawn and prepared specifically for engraving before being sandblasted by hand. This process creates a tactile, satin-etched finish with depth and clarity formed directly into the glass. From initial preparation to final polish, each piece is handled individually in our studio.
