About This Commission
This design presents a fuller coat of arms composition, incorporating the shield, crest, mantling and surname across the broader face of the decanter.
The larger engraving area allows the heraldic elements to retain more of their original structure and detail, with spacing and proportion resolved across the complete composition.
Where a surname is used to identify a historical heraldic reference, it is treated as a design reference rather than confirmation of heraldic entitlement.

The Commission Process
Each heraldic commission begins with the crest, insignia or reference material you would like us to work from. We review what you send, assess how it will translate into engraving and shape the design around the chosen piece.
Crest & Reference Review
Send us the crest, insignia or reference material you would like included. We assess the artwork, confirm what is suitable for engraving and agree the direction before design preparation begins.
Design & Engraving Layout
Where required, artwork is prepared or redrawn for engraving and arranged to suit the chosen piece. An Engraving Layout is then shared for review, with one consolidated refinement included within the agreed brief.
Approval, Engraving & Presentation
Once approved, the piece is engraved and checked in our Fife studio before being prepared for presentation or dispatch.
