Of This Place

A collection inspired by the landmarks, landscapes and local character of Fife and the surrounding area. Drawing on familiar views, industrial heritage and places that continue to shape the region, each design is carefully interpreted for engraving, creating compositions that celebrate place through observation rather than nostalgia.

From Artwork to Engraving

Each commission follows the same studio process, from artwork preparation and proof approval through to hand sandblasting and finishing in our Fife workshop.

Artwork Preparation

A digital proof is provided for approval before engraving.

Traditional Sandblasting

Each piece is engraved by hand using traditional sandblast techniques.

The Story Behind the Collection

Every design begins with a real location. Some celebrate well known landmarks such as the Forth Bridges or Castle Campbell, while others draw on quieter places, local wildlife and the industrial history that has shaped communities across Fife and Clackmannanshire.

Rather than simply reproducing photographs, each subject is carefully interpreted to retain its most recognisable features while remaining suited to the clarity and permanence of engraved glass. Together, the collection forms a portrait of place, reflecting the landscapes, structures and everyday details that give this part of Scotland its distinctive identity.
