The Story Behind the Design

The Fairy Pools lie beneath the Black Cuillin in Glen Brittle, where clear mountain water moves through a succession of waterfalls and rock pools. The composition follows the water through the foreground while the Cuillin rise beyond, bringing movement, rock and mountain together within a single landscape.

Drawn specifically for engraving on glass, natural detail is adjusted while preserving the character of the scene. Variations in line weight and texture define the mountain and surrounding landscape, with spacing and proportion resolved for the scale of the glass.

Engraving & Personalisation

A short personal inscription may be included with this design. Each engraving is arranged in the studio to suit the composition of the glass.

The Glass

Taller tulip-bowled wine glass with elongated stem and refined proportions, offering an expanded engraving field and elevated visual line.

The Atelier wine glass features a taller bowl profile and slimmer stem compared to the Signature version, creating a more elongated silhouette. The additional bowl height provides a larger engraving area, allowing detailed crests, monograms or multi-line inscriptions to be positioned with improved spacing and clarity.

The refined stem and balanced foot contribute to a lighter visual profile while maintaining stability for display and table presentation.
