The Story Behind the Design

The Old Man of Storr rises from the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye, where the rock pinnacle stands above cliffs, landslips and the island’s eastern coastline. Its distinctive silhouette makes it a defining feature of the surrounding landscape.

Drawn specifically for engraving on glass, natural detail is adjusted while preserving the character of the scene. Variations in line weight and texture define the mountain and surrounding landscape, with spacing and proportion resolved for the scale of the glass.

Engraving & Personalisation

A short personal inscription may be included with this design. Each engraving is arranged in the studio to suit the composition of the glass.

Classic straight sided whisky tumbler with a substantial weighted base, providing a defined engraving area suitable for detailed artwork and presentation inscriptions.
