The Story Behind the Design

A hand engraved illustration of Scotland's legendary Wild Haggis, complete with one leg longer than the other and the inscription Wild Haggis. Legends Never Run Straight. Inspired by one of Scotland's most entertaining pieces of folklore, the design celebrates humour as much as tradition.

Not every Scottish legend is ancient or mysterious. Some exist simply because they're too good not to tell.

According to Highland folklore, the Wild Haggis evolved with one leg longer than the other, allowing it to run around steep hillsides without tumbling down the slope. It's an explanation delivered with complete confidence to generations of unsuspecting visitors, making the Wild Haggis one of Scotland's best loved practical jokes.

This engraving embraces the story with a determined little creature standing proudly on its uneven legs, entirely unaware that anyone might question its existence. Beneath, the inscription Wild Haggis. Legends Never Run Straight. adds a final wink to the tale.

Equal parts folklore and fun, it’s a glass that refuses to take itself too seriously — much like Scotland itself.

Developed specifically for glass, the composition preserves movement and clarity while allowing the finer details to emerge as light moves across the engraved surface.
