About This Commission

Prepared individually from your lodge crest or badge, this engraved design faithfully reproduces the supplied emblem with optional personalisation for presentations, installations and significant milestones within the Craft.

Traditionally used during the festive board, this Masonic firing glass is prepared individually from the lodge crest or badge supplied. The engraving is refined to reproduce fine detail clearly, while optional personalisation for name, rank, office or year allows each glass to commemorate installations, visiting brethren, long service and lodge milestones

Form & Proportion

Traditional conical firing glass formed in 10% lead crystal, with a weighted base and compact engraving area suitable for lodge crests, insignia and presentation inscriptions.

  • Height 110 mm
  • Width 60 mm
  • Capacity 100 ml

Designed for ceremonial firing toasts and formal presentation. The compact conical form provides a defined engraving area for detailed artwork, while the solid lead crystal construction gives the glass a reassuring weight and presence.

The Commission Process

Each commission is prepared individually in our studio, with artwork reviewed and approved before engraving begins.

Artwork Review

Artwork Review

We review the crest, emblem or inscription provided and assess how it will translate clearly into engraving.

Artwork Preparation

Artwork Preparation

Where required, the artwork is refined or redrawn for engraving. A digital proof is then prepared and shared for approval.

Engraving & Finishing

Engraving & Finishing

Once approved, the piece is engraved by hand in our Fife studio and prepared for presentation or dispatch.

Every Masonic crest presents its own considerations for engraving. Where refinement or redraw is recommended to improve clarity or preserve heraldic detail, this is confirmed before production begins and included within the approval process.

Approved artwork is retained within our studio archive, making it straightforward to prepare additional presentation pieces or future commissions using the same design.
