About This Commission

A bespoke Masonic presentation design created from the offices, symbols and personal details you choose, composed as a formal commemorative engraving for significant milestones within the Craft.

Every presentation design is created individually to reflect the occasion being marked. Rather than relying on a single lodge crest, the composition can incorporate Masonic symbols, offices, names, dates, monograms and decorative elements selected to suit the presentation.

Each layout is composed specifically for the proportions of the Atelier decanter, allowing architectural features, ceremonial symbols and inscriptions to work together as a single engraved design. Every commission is prepared individually, ensuring the finished composition remains clear, well proportioned and appropriate to the significance of the occasion.

Suitable for installations, retirements, presentations, anniversaries and other important milestones within the Craft.

Form & Proportion

Handcrafted lead crystal decanter with a substantial bubble base, gently tapered body and individually fitted stopper. The generous engraving area is suitable for detailed artwork and presentation inscriptions.

  • Height 270 mm
  • Width 120 mm
  • Capacity 950 ml

Suitable for whisky, rum, brandy and other spirits. The broad front panel provides a generous engraving area for detailed designs, while the substantial base and fitted stopper give the decanter a reassuring weight and presence.

The Commission Process

Each commission is prepared individually in our studio, with artwork reviewed and approved before engraving begins.

Artwork Review

Artwork Review

We review the crest, emblem or inscription provided and assess how it will translate clearly into engraving.

Artwork Preparation

Artwork Preparation

Where required, the artwork is refined or redrawn for engraving. A digital proof is then prepared and shared for approval.

Engraving & Finishing

Engraving & Finishing

Once approved, the piece is engraved by hand in our Fife studio and prepared for presentation or dispatch.

Every Masonic crest presents its own considerations for engraving. Where refinement or redraw is recommended to improve clarity or preserve heraldic detail, this is confirmed before production begins and included within the approval process.

Approved artwork is retained within our studio archive, making it straightforward to prepare additional presentation pieces or future commissions using the same design.
