About This Commission

This jade glass award has a distinctive autumn leaf profile, with a curved engraving area that shapes how the final composition is arranged.

Each commission begins with customer supplied material, which may include a logo, crest, illustration, wording or other artwork.

The supplied material is assessed and arranged for the award, with scale, spacing and line weight adjusted where necessary to suit the available engraving area. Names, titles, dates, award wording or additional presentation text can be incorporated where appropriate, with the complete layout prepared for approval before engraving.

Form & Proportion

Formed from jade-toned glass with highly polished bevelled edges, the award offers a smooth central engraving field framed by a softened curved profile. The 12mm thickness provides structural stability while maintaining visual clarity across the engraving area.

Mounted on a matching jade glass plinth for secure display.

Design & Engraving Layout

Design & Engraving Layout

Where required, artwork is refined or redrawn for engraving and arranged to suit the form of the award. An Engraving Layout is then shared for review, with one consolidated refinement included within the agreed brief.

Approval, Engraving & Dispatch

Approval, Engraving & Dispatch

Once approved, the award is engraved and checked in our Fife studio before being prepared for presentation or dispatch.

For straightforward brand artwork, the design stage may be included within the commission price.

Where supplied artwork requires redrawing, adaptation or more substantial development for sandblast engraving, any applicable Design & Layout Fee will be confirmed following review and included in your Bespoke Commission Summary before design work begins.

Approved artwork is retained within our studio archive, making it straightforward to commission additional pieces using the same design. Where the existing artwork can be used without further design work, an additional Design & Layout Fee will not normally apply.
