The Story Behind the Design
Before science named the solar winds, the northern lights were seen as something otherworldly, spirit dancers in the sky, or a bridge between worlds. Across northern myth, the colours were said to be ancestors moving through the heavens, or sparks from a reindeer’s hooves striking the snow.
This engraved design captures that quiet wonder. Flowing ribbons of light sweep across the decanter, rising from an abstract horizon that suggests land, loch, and reflection. Each curve is drawn by hand, refined for engraving, and finished to echo the fluid movement of the aurora itself - an interplay of form, motion, and light that changes with every pour.
