About This Commission
This design combines the outline of Scotland with a traditional belt and buckle bearing the motto Nemo me impune lacessit, together with hand drawn Scottish thistles.
The map sits within the circular belt and buckle structure, while the surrounding thistles extend the composition beyond the central emblem. The individual elements are arranged as one design, with spacing and proportion adjusted to keep the map, lettering and botanical detail clear on the tankard.

Crest & Reference Review
Send us the crest, insignia or reference material you would like included. We assess the artwork, confirm what is suitable for engraving and agree the direction before design preparation begins.
Design & Engraving Layout
Where required, artwork is prepared or redrawn for engraving and arranged to suit the chosen piece. An Engraving Layout is then shared for review, with one consolidated refinement included within the agreed brief.
Approval, Engraving & Presentation
Once approved, the piece is engraved and checked in our Fife studio before being prepared for presentation or dispatch.
