Schiehallion rises above the wooded shores of Loch Tummel, its remarkably symmetrical profile making it one of Scotland's most recognisable mountains. Standing at the gateway to Highland Perthshire, its distinctive form has drawn travellers, artists and scientists for generations.
Prepared from reference photography and interpreted for engraving, the composition brings together the mountain, surrounding woodland and the waters of Loch Tummel into a single landscape. Careful use of line, contrast and proportion preserves the character of this iconic viewpoint while creating an engraving that remains crisp, enduring and well suited to glass.
