The Story Behind the Design

The molecular structure of oxytocin, celebrating the chemistry behind one of the body's best known signalling molecules.

Oxytocin is a naturally occurring peptide hormone that acts as both a hormone and a neurotransmitter. It plays important roles in childbirth and breastfeeding, while also contributing to social bonding, trust and emotional connection. Although often referred to as the "love hormone", its influence extends across many aspects of human behaviour and physiology.

This engraved design reproduces the molecular structure of oxytocin as a precise scientific illustration, paired with the simple inscription "LOVE (oxytocin)". Prepared specifically for engraving, the composition balances chemical accuracy with visual clarity, transforming a familiar molecular formula into a clean, contemporary design that celebrates both science and human connection.

Line weight and spacing are adjusted to retain definition across finer engraved elements.

Engraving & Personalisation

A short personal inscription may be included with this design. Each engraving is arranged in the studio to suit the composition of the glass.

If your requirements extend beyond the personalisation available on this listing, please get in touch. Longer inscriptions or more complex requirements may require a bespoke quotation.

A Personalisation Layout is provided before engraving so you can check the wording, names, dates and other factual information supplied with your order.

The Glass

Traditional tulip-bowled wine glass with balanced stem and defined engraving panel.

  • Height 251 mm
  • Width 65 mm
  • Capacity 400 ml

The Signature wine glass features a gently curved tulip bowl set on a proportionate stem and stable foot. The forward-facing bowl curve provides a clear engraving field, allowing crests, monograms or multi-line text to be positioned with measured spacing and legibility.

The moderate bowl depth and clean silhouette support both display and table use without visual distraction from excessive contouring.

Each piece is engraved in our Fife studio using traditional sandblasting, chosen for its depth, clarity and permanence.
