The Story Behind the Design
An abstract composition inspired by Alan Turing's contributions to mathematics, computing and cryptography.
Alan Turing was one of the defining scientific minds of the twentieth century. His work laid the foundations of modern computer science, artificial intelligence and cryptography, while his wartime codebreaking played a crucial role in Allied success during the Second World War. Many of the principles that underpin today's digital world can be traced back to his mathematical thinking.
This engraved design interprets the ideas behind Turing's work through an abstract arrangement of geometric forms, interconnected pathways and symbolic structures. Prepared specifically for engraving, the composition explores logic, computation and pattern, translating complex concepts into a balanced design that invites closer examination.
Line weight and spacing are adjusted to retain definition across finer engraved elements.
