The Story Behind the Design
The sweeping roof structure and distinctive cable supported form of the Etihad Stadium, prepared as an architectural study for engraving onto glass.
Opened in 2002, the Etihad Stadium is recognised by its sweeping roof structure and the network of masts and suspension cables that define its silhouette. This engraving celebrates the engineering and geometry that make the stadium instantly recognisable.
Prepared specifically for engraving, the illustration reduces the complex structure to clean lines while preserving its distinctive proportions and architectural character. The result is a contemporary interpretation of one of England's most recognisable sporting venues, translated into a design that sits naturally on glass.
The composition is arranged to sit cleanly within the glass, allowing the form to remain legible without crowding the surface.
