The Story Behind the Design

This engraving is based on the form of lacework, graceful symmetry and detailed flourishes found in classical venetian art, prepared as a balanced composition to suit the engraving area of the glass.

Line weight and spacing are adjusted to retain definition across finer engraved elements.

The Glass

Handcrafted lead crystal decanter with substantial bubble base and tapered body, offering a defined engraving field with strong vertical balance.

Formed in lead crystal, the decanter rises from a solid bubble base into a gently tapered body and fitted stopper. The weight and symmetry provide stability for display, while the broad front panel allows crests, insignia and multi-line inscriptions to be engraved with clarity and proportion.
