The Story Behind the Design
An engraved landscape of The Cobbler (Beinn Artair), capturing the mountain's distinctive rocky summit above the tumbling burns and boulder strewn glen that lead towards its famous peaks.
Few Scottish mountains are as instantly recognisable as The Cobbler, known in Gaelic as Beinn Artair. Rising above Arrochar at the head of Loch Long, its dramatic granite peaks have made it one of Scotland's most climbed and most photographed mountains.
This engraving follows the approach through the glen, where clear water winds between weathered boulders before climbing towards the mountain's unmistakable rocky skyline. The composition reflects the journey as much as the destination, capturing the movement through the landscape that so many walkers remember.
The engraving is arranged to preserve the character and proportions of the landscape, maintaining clarity and recognisability when engraved.
