Snowdon, or Yr Wyddfa, is the highest mountain in Wales, its summit rising above a landscape of rocky ridges, glacial lakes and deeply cut valleys. Its distinctive profile has made it one of Britain's most recognisable mountains, admired from the surrounding valleys as much as from the summit itself.
Prepared specifically for engraving, this illustration captures the mountain from Llyn Llydaw, where the broad slopes and rocky summit create one of its most familiar views. Fine linework and carefully judged contrast preserve the character of the landscape while creating an engraving that reveals new detail as it catches the light.
The composition is arranged to sit cleanly within the glass, allowing the form to remain legible without crowding the surface.
