The Story Behind the Design

Britain's National Three Peaks brought together within a continuous wraparound landscape linking Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis as one uninterrupted engraving.

This engraving connects Britain's National Three Peaks within a single continuous landscape. Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis flow naturally into one another, creating an uninterrupted composition that returns to its starting point as the glass is turned.

The design reflects the National Three Peaks Challenge itself, where each summit forms part of one complete journey. Drawn specifically for engraving on glass, the landscape preserves the distinctive profiles of each mountain while simplifying detail where necessary for clarity and permanence. Light passing through the glass continually changes the appearance of the engraving, encouraging the landscape to be explored from every angle. Line weight, spacing and proportion are carefully adjusted so the finished engraving remains crisp, balanced and suited to the object it decorates.

Developed as a continuous wrap around engraving, the composition moves uninterrupted around the glass, changing as light passes through.
