The Three Peaks: A Place-Led Glassware Collection
Share
This collection draws on three of Britain’s highest summits.
Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) are treated as individual subjects, each prepared as a distinct engraving.
The Designs
Each mountain is drawn as a clean, recognisable profile, adapted to suit different glass forms.
-
Ben Nevis
A simplified outline prepared for whisky glasses, scaled to sit comfortably within a smaller engraving area. -
Scafell Pike
Composed for pint glass proportions, allowing a broader horizontal layout. -
Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
Prepared for stemmed beer glassware, with additional space for personalisation beneath the peak.
Alongside these, a full wraparound composition brings all three summits into a single continuous line, prepared for straight-sided glassware. Distance and ascent data are integrated into the layout to support the overall structure.
Preparation and Engraving
Each design is adjusted for scale, curvature and legibility, ensuring the linework remains clear once engraved.
The artwork is transferred to stencil and sandblasted to produce a consistent etched finish, with the detail held within the surface of the glass.
Outcome
The collection presents the three peaks as a set of related designs, each distinct in form but unified in approach.
Individual summits, or a combined composition, depending on how the subject is to be held.
Three landmarks, prepared as a series.
