The Story Behind the Design

The Welsh Llwy Garu, or Lovespoon, developed as a carved object built from symbolic motifs, with different elements carrying meanings associated with affection, home, loyalty and good fortune.

This interpretation draws on that visual language through hearts, keys, daffodils and the Welsh dragon, arranged as a flowing composition for glass. The individual motifs remain recognisable while forming part of a single decorative structure.

Line weight, spacing and proportion are adjusted for each glass format so the detail remains clear at engraving scale.

A short personal inscription may be included with this design. Each engraving is arranged in the studio to suit the composition of the glass.

Tall tulip-profile champagne flute with elongated stem and defined vertical engraving panel.

The Atelier champagne flute features a slender, upward-tapered tulip bowl set on a long, proportionate stem. The extended vertical surface provides a clear engraving field suited to monograms, crests and multi-line inscriptions arranged with measured spacing.

The refined silhouette maintains visual balance while offering stability at the foot, making it suitable for both formal presentation and table use.
