About This Bespoke Commission

Every piece begins with your child's drawing, handwriting or artwork, carefully prepared in the studio so it engraves cleanly onto the gently curved surface of the glass while preserving the character of the original.

The broad bowl provides space for individual drawings, names, dates or short messages, making each glass suitable for commemorative gifts and personal occasions.

A proof is supplied for approval before engraving begins, ensuring every detail is agreed before the finished piece is engraved.

The Glass

Classic straight sided whisky tumbler with a substantial weighted base, providing a defined engraving area suitable for detailed artwork and presentation inscriptions.

  • Height 86 mm
  • Capacity 330 ml

Suitable for whisky, bourbon, rum and other short serves. The straight sided form provides a generous engraving area, while the substantial base gives the glass a reassuring weight in the hand.

Design & Engraving Layout

Design & Engraving Layout

An Engraving Layout is prepared and issued for approval before engraving begins.

For children’s designs, the Bespoke Design Service includes the careful redrawing of your child’s original drawing and handwriting as artwork created specifically for sandblast engraving. The design is developed to engrave clearly whilst preserving the character of the original.

Before design work begins, you'll receive a Bespoke Commission Summary setting out the agreed brief, intended finished commission and costs. The Bespoke Design Service is commissioned separately and includes your artwork proof for review and approval.

Once the final artwork proof has been approved, you'll receive an invoice or private listing for the remaining balance of your commission. Production will begin once the remaining balance has been paid.

Approved artwork is retained within our studio archive, making it straightforward to commission additional pieces using the same design. Where the existing artwork can be used without further design work, a further design fee will not normally apply.
