The Story Behind the Design
An engraved wraparound interpretation of the ornamental entrance gates at Ascot Racecourse, designed to flow continuously around each glass.
This design takes inspiration from the decorative entrance gates, transforming their flowing curves and central crown motif into a continuous wraparound engraving.
Viewed from different angles, the pattern gradually reveals itself around the glass, creating an architectural study that is equally decorative and recognisable. The uninterrupted composition makes it particularly well suited to tall stemware, where the engraving follows the shape of the bowl.
