The Story Behind the Design

A hand engraved winter stag beneath a crystalline snowflake, framed by Celtic knotwork and inspired by the Gaelic expression Solas is Sìth meaning Light and Peace. The composition brings together woodland, winter and quiet renewal in a single engraved emblem.

As winter reaches its deepest point, light begins its slow return. Across northern landscapes this turning has long been marked not only by the changing season, but by moments of reflection, generosity and hope.

Inspired by the Gaelic expression Solas is Sìth, meaning Light and Peace, this engraving combines a winter stag with a crystalline snowflake enclosed within flowing Celtic knotwork. The composition is conceived as a seasonal emblem, where each element speaks to endurance, renewal and the quiet beauty of the northern winter. Rather than celebrating a single occasion, the design reflects the atmosphere of the season itself.

Created for the Winter Spirits collection, Solas is Sìth offers a lasting expression of winter that can return year after year, carrying the same message of light, peace and the promise of brighter days.

Line weight and spacing are adjusted to retain definition across finer engraved elements.
