Robert Burns remains one of Scotland's most celebrated writers, his poetry and songs continuing to shape Scottish culture more than two centuries after they were first published. This design presents a portrait of Burns framed by a wreath of Scottish thistles, bringing together two enduring symbols of Scotland.
The composition has been adapted to suit the proportions of the whisky glass while preserving the character of the original illustration and the surrounding thistle wreath. It creates a distinctive tribute to Scotland's national poet, equally suited to display or enjoyment.
Each engraving is produced using our traditional sandblasting process, creating a crisp permanent finish that preserves the detail and character of the original illustration.
Developed specifically for glass, the composition preserves movement and clarity while allowing the finer details to emerge as light moves across the engraved surface.
