The Story Behind the Design
A detailed interpretation of Liverpool's Liver Bird carrying an engagement ring, created to celebrate a proposal, engagement or wedding.
The Liver Bird has long been recognised as one of Liverpool's defining civic symbols. This design reimagines the familiar emblem by placing an engagement ring in its beak, creating a composition that celebrates both the city and an important personal milestone.
Originally developed as a design study, the illustration preserves the character of the Liver Bird while introducing a contemporary element that marks a proposal, engagement or wedding. The result is a design that feels unmistakably connected to Liverpool while remaining personal to the couple receiving it.
Each piece is engraved using our traditional sandblasting process, producing a crisp permanent finish that preserves the fine detail of the original illustration.
Line weight and spacing are adjusted to retain definition across finer engraved elements.
