Kinder Scout is the highest point in the Peak District, its broad gritstone plateau and weathered edges forming one of Britain's most distinctive upland landscapes. The approach across open moorland and the steady climb towards the plateau are familiar to generations of walkers exploring the national park.
Prepared specifically for engraving, this illustration follows the path as it rises across the moor towards the summit plateau, capturing the texture of the ground and the characteristic profile of Kinder Scout.
