Buachaille Etive Mòr is shown from Coire na Tulaich, where the mountain rises above the entrance to Glen Coe and its distinctive pyramid shaped profile dominates the surrounding landscape. From this viewpoint, the sweep of the corrie, the historic croft and the glen itself all contribute to one of Scotland's most recognisable mountain scenes.
Prepared from reference photography and interpreted for engraving, the composition preserves the relationship between mountain, glen and foreground while simplifying detail for clarity on glass. Careful use of line, contrast and proportion creates an engraving that remains crisp, enduring and true to the character of the place.
