The Story Behind the Design

A pair of finely detailed feathered wings surrounding the phrase The Angel's Share, inspired by the whisky that slowly evaporates during cask maturation. The symmetrical composition combines flowing feather detail with a strong central form, creating a design that remains striking whether engraved on a whisky glass, decanter or brandy glass.

As brandy matures in oak casks, a small amount slowly disappears into the atmosphere. Distillers have long referred to this natural loss as the Angel's Share, imagining that the angels themselves take a portion of every cask as it quietly ages.

This design gives that tradition a visual form. Rather than depicting angels, it centres on a pair of intricately engraved wings surrounding the familiar phrase, allowing the symbolism to speak for itself. The result is both decorative and meaningful, celebrating one of whisky's best loved expressions while acknowledging the patience, craftsmanship and passing of time that every mature spirit represents.

Developed specifically for glass, the composition preserves movement and clarity while allowing the finer details to emerge as light moves across the engraved surface.
