Presentation Awards for Forth Valley College Delegation

The central motif combined a horse form with flowing knotwork.

The design was prepared as a single composition, with the knotwork structured to move through and around the central figure, creating continuity across the engraving.

Form Selection

A faceted crystal award was chosen to support the design.

The angled surfaces introduce variation in light across the glass, complementing the movement within the engraving and giving the piece a defined presence when viewed from different angles.

Preparation and Engraving

Each award was prepared individually, incorporating the College logo and date within the layout.

Artwork was adjusted for scale and spacing to ensure consistency across all six pieces, then transferred to stencil and sandblasted to produce a uniform etched finish.

Outcome

The completed set forms a coordinated group of presentation awards, each carrying the same design and prepared for formal use.
