An engraved peacock inspired by the ornamental gardens of Pittencrieff Park, where the peacock's tail gradually unfolds into flowing foliage and feathers
Rising above the village of Saline, Saline Hill is one of West Fife's most familiar landmarks, offering wide views across the surrounding countryside. This engraving captures the hill as it is experienced from below, with farmland, woodland and the village leading the eye towards the distinctive skyline beyond. In the distance, the outline of Knockhill adds another recognisable feature to the landscape.
Rather than focusing on a single viewpoint or dramatic moment, the design reflects the quiet character of the area itself. Carefully interpreted for engraving, it preserves the layered forms of the landscape while maintaining the clarity and permanence needed for glass, creating a lasting portrait of a place that remains instantly familiar to those who know it.
