Your Design, Our Craft

Your artwork has been prepared and approved for engraving.

Your bespoke design has been developed from our one-to-one conversation. Each element has been prepared by hand so the final engraving is clear, balanced and ready for the glass.

This piece has been created specifically from the details we discussed together. Your design brief, whether a symbol, inscription, logo, layout or illustration, is redrawn and adjusted so it engraves cleanly at scale.

Once the artwork is approved, the design is sandblasted by hand using traditional engraving techniques. This process allows the design to be cut permanently into the glass, creating a precise line and a soft satin finish that can be felt with the fingertips.

Each commission is prepared individually. From artwork preparation to final polishing, the work is carried out by hand in our Fife studio so the finished piece is balanced, durable and ready to use.

Engraved with Precision

Every glass is engraved in our Fife studio using traditional sandblasting, a method chosen for its clarity, depth and permanence. Each mountain illustration is redrawn in-house and prepared specifically for glass.

  1. Artwork Prepared in Studio

    Each illustration is developed by our in-house designer and refined as vector artwork. Line weight and contrast are carefully balanced to ensure the engraving remains clear and true to form once etched into glass.

  2. Single-Use Stencil Creation

    The approved design is transferred onto a specialist stencil using UV exposure. A fresh stencil is created for each engraving to preserve crisp detail and clean edges.

  3. Hand Sandblasted Engraving

    Using a controlled stream of fine aluminium oxide, the exposed areas of the glass are engraved by hand. This creates a smooth satin finish with visible depth and definition.

  4. Finishing and Inspection

    Each piece is cleaned, checked and hand finished before presentation. Alignment, balance and clarity are reviewed to ensure the engraving sits naturally on the chosen glass.

Sandblast engraving has been at the heart of our studio since 1982. Every piece is engraved individually and finished by hand.
