Innovation & Discovery

Engraved glassware inspired by scientific form, engineering, architecture, geometry and measured observation. Molecular structures, diagrams, palaeontological references and technical studies are prepared as clear compositions for glass.

From Layout to Engraving

Each piece is prepared in our Fife studio, then hand sandblasted and finished by hand.

Engraving Layout

A digital layout is provided for approval before engraving.

Traditional Sandblasting

Each piece is engraved by hand using traditional sandblast techniques.

The Story Behind the Collection

Science and engineering often communicate through line, proportion and organised information, qualities that lend themselves naturally to engraving. Complex subjects are reduced carefully without losing the relationships that make them intelligible, allowing diagrams, structures and observed forms to remain controlled, precise and visually coherent on glass.
