Engraved Football Trophies: Oakley UTD

This commission involved producing a series of engraved glass trophies for a local football team in Oakley.

Each award recognised a different achievement within the club while forming part of a single presentation set.

Reference and Preparation

Although the trophies shared a common format, each piece required individual preparation.

Player names, award titles and dates varied in length, meaning the layouts could not simply be duplicated across the full set. Spacing and typography were adjusted for each award to maintain visual consistency while accommodating the differing content.

The objective was to ensure that every recipient received an award that felt equally considered, regardless of the amount of text involved.

Engraving

Once the layouts had been finalised, the artwork was transferred to stencil and applied to the glass.

Each trophy was sandblasted individually, producing a consistent etched finish throughout the collection.

Outcome

The completed awards form a coordinated presentation set, unified in appearance while recognising different individuals and achievements within the team.

Prepared for a local football club, the commission demonstrates how consistency across a group of pieces often depends upon treating each one individually during preparation.
