The Story Behind the Design

A rich tapestry of Masonic symbolism, this bespoke decanter showcases a filigree-style Square & Compass at its heart — framed by the Working Tools, Star of David, and acacia leaves. Designed to honour personal journeys within Freemasonry, it offers four custom fields to reflect title, name, rank, and year. Whether used ceremonially or displayed with pride, it’s a piece of heritage made to be passed down.

What Makes It Special

  • A complete representation of the First, Second and Third Degrees, engraved and presented as a unified progression.
  • Traditional sandblasting ensures clarity and dignity across fine, precise detailing.
  • Designed with respect for heritage, accuracy and the traditions of Freemasonry.
  • A meaningful choice for installations, retirements or moments of personal significance within the Lodge.
  • Prepared and engraved to order in our Fife studio, each piece handled with meticulous care.

A considered presentation honouring longstanding tradition.

Honouring tradition through precision, symbolism and craft

Our Masonic collection is inspired by the timeless symbols and ceremonial regalia of Freemasonry. Each engraving is created with care, clarity and respect for the traditions it represents.

Working from verified references and historic forms, every design is redrawn by hand to preserve detail and dignity. From the Square and Compass to jewels of office and working tools, each piece is engraved with a balanced emphasis on accuracy and elegance.

Engraved with Precision

Every glass is engraved in our Fife studio using traditional sandblasting, a method chosen for its clarity, depth and permanence. Each mountain illustration is redrawn in-house and prepared specifically for glass.

  1. Artwork Prepared in Studio

Each illustration is developed by our in-house designer and refined as vector artwork. Line weight and contrast are carefully balanced to ensure the engraving remains clear and true to form once etched into glass.

  2. Single-Use Stencil Creation

The approved design is transferred onto a specialist stencil using UV exposure. A fresh stencil is created for each engraving to preserve crisp detail and clean edges.

  3. Hand Sandblasted Engraving

Using a controlled stream of fine aluminium oxide, the exposed areas of the glass are engraved by hand. This creates a smooth satin finish with visible depth and definition.

  4. Finishing and Inspection

Each piece is cleaned, checked and hand finished before presentation. Alignment, balance and clarity are reviewed to ensure the engraving sits naturally on the chosen glass.

Sandblast engraving has been at the heart of our studio since 1982. Every piece is engraved individually and finished by hand.
