Crafting Personal Glassware for a Scooterist Wedding
Share
Some projects carry a little extra meaning, even before they leave the studio.
Earlier this week, we were asked to create a pair of engraved wine glasses for an upcoming wedding, a celebration not just of a couple, but of a shared passion.
Both bride and groom are lifelong scooterists, and members of a local scooter club. For their glasses, we started with the club’s logo - a familiar emblem for the couple - and added their names and wedding date to personalise it just for them.
To make the design even more distinctive, we encircled the logo with a black and white checkerboard pattern - a nod to classic scooter culture, and a subtle tribute to the Mods who made it iconic.
The glasses themselves - our Artisan Wine Glasses - are a little finer, a little more elegant than our standard range. For a day that’s anything but ordinary, it felt right to create something that had that extra bit of grace and balance.
Each glass is hand-finished using traditional sandblasting techniques, ensuring a depth and clarity that’s built to last, much like the marriage they’re about to celebrate.
We’re honoured to have played a small part in their story.
