When a Bottle Holds More Than Whisky

Some engravings go beyond gifting — they become part of a legacy.
Earlier this month, we were entrusted with a bottle of Aberlour single malt whisky. Not just any bottle, a small batch, carefully chosen by a father for his son. The plan? To give it to him on his wedding day next year.
But there’s more to this story. The father who placed the order is currently receiving end-of-life care. He wanted to leave something tangible - something thoughtful, personal, and lasting - to mark a day he may not see.
The message, engraved directly onto the glass, was composed with love and care. And so was our process.

We began with a digital layout so the wording could be reviewed before a single mark was made. The engraving itself required extra precision. The bottle's label needed to stay pristine, so we avoided all moisture and didn’t use tape, which meant custom masking, gentle handling, and more time at every step.

It wasn’t a quick job. But it was never supposed to be.
We often say our work is “made to last.” This was a reminder of what that really means.
We’re honoured to have played a quiet part in this story and we hope the bottle is opened one day with pride, love, and a toast to everything that came before.
With thanks to Aberlour for crafting the bottle, and to our customer for trusting us with the rest.
